Cheesy 80s Video Monday-10/25/2010

This Monday’s cheese platter features Billy Squier’s 1984 tribute to the movie Flashdance, Rock Me Tonite.

I’ve seen more prancing in this music video than ever done by The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions.  And that’s just the first two minutes…

Cheesy 80s Video Monday-10/18/2010

Here’s some classic 80s cheese:  Pat Benetar’s Love is a Battlefield.

The dance off with the pimp never gets old.

Cheesy 80s Music Video Monday-Muscles

Today’s installment of your Cheesy 80s Music Video Monday features the 1982 Diana Ross song  Muscles.

Watch Diana Ross writhe around in her granny nightgown in the gayest video since Olivia Newton John’s Let’s Get Physical.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would rank intelligence, loyalty, and sense of humor way before muscles.

Cheesy 80’s Video Monday-Go For Soda

I know this is a repost, but the fromage is strong with this one.

This is one of those songs that you would hear at a middle school dance and would cause everyone to run out to the dance floor because your fifteen year old taste in music thought this song was cool.  Whatever cool this song has is negated by the hilariously awful music video.  I’m not even sure if the creators were serious, joking or high when they came up with the concept.  This video broaches Star Wars Holiday Special levels of bad.

Cheesy 80s Video Monday-Don Johnson’s “Heartbeat”

This week’s installment of Cheesy 80s Video Monday features the 1986 song from TV’s Don Johnson (aka Sonny Crockett), Heartbeat.

When done right, music videos as mini-movies can be entertaining (think Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf“).  When not done right, you get this over the top mess.

Cheesy 80s Video Monday-Alan Thicke’s “Sweaty and Hot”

If this song wasn’t cheesy enough, the “back-up dancers” provide that extra gooey sprinkle of cheese on top.

This was written and taped at an aerobics convention.  Yes.  They have conventions for such things.
